🇬🇧🇪🇺 Bike-Hook Version 3.0: Lighter, Simpler, and Built for European Vans
Monica Ganas
A Smarter Update, Not Over-Engineering
In a world where outdoor gear keeps getting bigger, heavier, and more complicated, Bike-Hook Version 3.0 moves in the opposite direction.
The latest update to Bike-Hook is a two-piece design that’s 40% lighter, while keeping the same proven mounting system that vanlifers across the UK and Europe already trust. No added complexity. No oversized parts. Just a cleaner, more efficient design that does exactly what it needs to do.

What’s New in Version 3.0?
The biggest change in Bike-Hook Version 3.0 is the two-piece construction, which brings several practical benefits:
-
40% lighter weight compared to previous versions
-
Easier access to the fork hub block mounting hardware
-
Simpler servicing if you ever need to swap or adjust hub blocks
While most riders will never need to change their hub block, this design makes it quick and straightforward when needed.
To access the hardware, simply remove the padded foot at the base of the Bike-Hook. The stainless-steel hardware is immediately accessible, allowing easy adjustment or replacement without fighting tight spaces.
Importantly, the operational design remains the same. Version 3.0 mounts, loads, and secures your bike exactly like earlier Bike-Hook models — just lighter and easier to work with.

Designed for European Roads and Parking
UK and EU drivers deal with:

Narrow streets
-
Small parking spaces
-
Tight campsites
-
Height and length restrictions
Bike-Hook’s rear-door, fork-mount design keeps your van compact and manoeuvrable, without adding swing-out arms, hitch extensions, or bulky racks.
