Turn Your RV Ladder Into a Removable Bike Rack
Craig Waller

There is already a ladder on the back of your RV. Could it become a place to carry your bike?
That is the idea behind the new Bike-Hook Ladder Mount System. Instead of starting with a large hitch carrier, we designed a bracket that attaches to a suitable rear ladder and gives our removable Bike-Hook a mounting edge.
Use the ladder you already have
Rear ladders are useful real estate on RVs and campervans, especially when the hitch is occupied by a trailer or cargo. Our system uses aluminum truss clamps around the ladder tubing to hold a 5 mm powder-coated aluminum bracket. The stainless steel Bike-Hook slides over the bracket, and a 3/8-inch safety pin secures it in place.
With the bicycle's front wheel removed, its fork attaches to the Bike-Hook. When you are not carrying a bike, the Bike-Hook can be removed from the bracket.
Is every RV ladder suitable?
No. A ladder's tube size, construction, condition, and attachment to the RV all matter. An individual clamp's rating cannot tell you what the complete ladder and vehicle can safely support. That is why we are preparing fit measurements and installation guidance before taking orders for the Ladder Mount System.
If you are interested, start with three simple things:
- A photo showing the full rear ladder and how it attaches to the vehicle.
- A close-up of the ladder tubing and the area where a bracket might mount.
- Your RV or campervan make, model, and year.
Send those details through our contact page. We can use them to discuss fit as we finish the launch information.

Why make it removable?
The original Bike-Hook was designed around a straightforward idea: give a bicycle a compact fork mounting point without making you live with a giant rack all the time. We wanted to carry that thinking over to RVs with rear ladders. The ladder bracket supplies the mounting point; the Bike-Hook remains the removable part that holds the bike.
We will share photos of a full installation, bike placement, and the final compatibility guidance as soon as we have them. This first look explains the concept; it is not an installation instruction or a universal fit claim.
